CLAUSTROPHOBIA....
Claustrophobia is a type of fear which happens when you are in a closes space. Because of this you begin to feel anxiety and hot and suffocated.
I have chosen this picture of the inside of this shop because everything is very cluttered and there is very little space to get around the shop. This is a stereotypical image because most people tend to feel claustrophobic in shops.

PASSION......
Passion is an intense emotion, a strong connection between two lovers.
I have chosen to take a picture of this sign saying Valentines Day because that is a day of where people show there love for one another and buy each other presents.
This is quite a stereotypical picture to uses for passion because as soon as the word is mentioned you automatically think of love and Valentines Day.

HAPPY........
I have chosen to take a picture of this image as it represents happiness, because it is a smiley face.
Happiness is a state of mind or feeling we get when something good happens, wither it is to do with love , family or a special or funny moment.

suspense,thrillers and sub genres..

Suspense

To me suspense means when for example a film or a play keeps you on the edge of your seat, makes you want to know what happens next and causes tension. Suspense is the perception of the audience and you can cause tension by dramatic music, the dialogue and the setting and lighting which leads up to a dramatic scene or moment.

Thriller

Thriller is a type of genre that is used in films to create a theme for the movie. There are many different types of thrillers such as Action Thriller, Spy Thriller and a Disaster Thriller. These types show who the Antagonist and who is the Protagonist. In the action thriller it is obvious who the villain is and the disaster thriller there is either a group or one person trying to save the world. We enjoy thrillers because it keeps us, the audience in suspense and want to know whats there motive and who or if anyone survives.
In thrillers there is lots of jump cutting, cliff hangers and the classic conflict between the villain and hero. Example of movies which are thrillers is Saw, Scream and Mission impossible.

Thriller sub genres
Thrillers have many sub genres such as Action thriller, Political thriller, Spy thriller or a Comedy thriller.
Action Thrillers: an example of an action thriller is James Bond, this sort of thriller is racing against the clock where there is lots of action and violence with an obvious antagonist and protagonist.

Political Thrillers: is for example The Da Vinci code. Political thrillers often contain political scenario which someone wants to be in power while someone is trying to stop them. Or even the government going through a political struggle.

Spy Thrillers: like Mission Impossible have got to do with detectives and the police trying to discover or prevent something bad from happening. for example the protagonist trying to stop the antagonist.

Comedy Thrillers: for example Scary movie a spin off of Scream is an example of a comedy thriller as is contains many funny moments but has scary and suspenseful moments in it.

A conspiracy thriller is when characters are unable to discover the truth about a certain conspiracy. An example of a conspiracy thriller is The Da Vinci Code.

Action Thrillers
An action thriller is when the movie has explosions, fast cars, lots of use of technology, race against the clock, violence and the protagonist and the antagonist is obvious. An example of an action thriller is James Bond.

Private Detective Thrillers
A private detective thriller is when detectives are hired privately to find out about the antagonist. An example of a private detective thriller is Private Eye.
Which thriller inspires you at the moment?
The sub-genre of thriller which inspires me at the moment is action thriller. This is because action thriller keeps you on the edge of the seat. It contains explosions, fast cars, violence and race against the clock which creates a lot of suspense and tensed characters. I like action thrillers because it also creates a noisy atmosphere and there is so much happening in one sense. The most recent action thriller that I have watched is Star Trek.

How is suspense created in Collateral?

The film Collateral has many scenes which create suspense. The actions will make the audience think what will happen next. The movie has a Protagonist and an Antagonist. Whilst watching Collateral, Max (Jamie Fox, the Protagonist) is arrested on suspicion of murder because the police officer finds a body in the boot of his taxi. He is on his knees with his hands on his head and sees Annie on the 'to kill' list which belongs to Vincent (Tom Cruise, the Antagonist).

While Vincent is out to kill Annie, Max is on top of another building next to Annie's work window - talking to her on the phone. He warns her that Vincent is in her building, he has come to kill her and she should get out as soon as possible. Vincent cleverly cuts off the power supplies; the building was all dark and the phone line has also cut off. As the power goes out, suspense music comes on and the sound of Annie's and Max's breathing gets faster. This creates suspense as we are now unable to see what's happening in the building.
There are many different camera shots, and the pace is getting faster. Medium shots and close-ups are used to show where in the building the characters are. The close-up shots are mainly used on Annie, this shows her facial expression. Vincent enters the room Annie is in. He points the gun at Annie, Max comes in the room as well and points the gun at Vincent. The camera is shaking to make the pace faster and the background music gets louder. Max shoots Vincent and the music gets faster as Annie and Max escape the building whilst getting chased by Vincent.

A thriller is a suspenseful adventure. It can be found in many different formats such as books, films, television programmes, plays. There are many different types of thrillers: political, psychological, religious, disaster, legal, conspiracy, action and private detective. These sub genres use suspense in different ways. Thrillers usually use face paced camera work, effects and sounds. This creates suspense and puts the audience at the edge of their seat.

The Da Vinci Code is a thriller which falls under the category religious thriller. It is a detective film about investigation on a murder.

jevoney

There were various suspenseful moments in this film but the bit that strikes me most was the police scene because Max was being questioned about whether it was blood on the windscreen. Additionally when the police officer was ordering Max to open the boot, this was very suspenseful because we as the audience knew that the previous victim of Vince was in there.

Suspense in Collateral

Whilst watching 'Collateral' there is a scene with Max(the protagonist, Jamie Fox) and Vincent (the antagonist also known as Tom Cruise) in the taxi when they are stopped by the police for having a broken wind screen which was caused by one of Vincent's murders when he falls from the window on to the car.
The suspense is built though the police man is asking questions and Max getting getting very nervous which cause them to be more suspicious of him. Vincent in the back of the car tries to persuade the police officer to let them go. One of he police officers realises that there is blood on the car in between the broken glass. The suspense is more and more tense, they are both asked get out of the car and open the boot. They both leave the car and Vincent has a gun in his hand, getting ready to shoot the police officers when all of a sudden the police officers receive a important call when they have to leave. Lucky they got the call because they would of seen what was in the boot, a dead body.
This scene is a very suspenseful moment as they nearly get caught.
